Types of manuscripts
Prosperitas publishes both theoretical and empirical papers, which are double-blind peer reviewed to ensure quality content and methodological rigor. We accept research from a wide range of levels of analysis, from the individual to the group, organizational, regional and country-wide levels. Prosperitas encourages submitting authors to download similar articles from Prosperitas’ website to consider suitable content and format. All articles are open access. The Journal publishes articles in English.
With the exception of articles for the yearly Special Issue, papers can be submitted any time of the year, via the link found under the website menu item ‘Submit your paper’. After clicking on the link, authors need to register with ScholarOneManuscripts, and will then be guided through the steps of the submission process.
Prosperitas publishes the following 5 types of studies.

c) Viewpoint: this is a position paper about a current topic of scientific interest presenting novel ideas and opinions.
d) Book Review: this is a review article of a book published maximum 2 years earlier and focuses on topics of interest to Prosperitas.

Target audience
As articles are published solely in English, Prosperitas targets an international audience of academics, researchers, and practitioners. Many of our studies are focussed on emerging economies in general, and Central and Eastern Europe, in particular.
Academic researchers, tutors, administrative staff and management will find our topics of interest as these topics focus on a wide range of fields within business, management, economics, accounting and finance.
The Journal encourages practitioners such as business leaders and executives, as well as entrepreneurs, employers and management in both profit and non-profit organizations to access the publications. To encourage this further, since January 2025, we have included in our submission process the requirement for authors to prepare a plain language summary, which is published alongside the full article and abstract. The express aim of this is to facilitate understanding of research outcomes for non-scientific stakeholders. In this way, based on our publications practitioners and academics not involved directly in scientific research will have the opportunity to get an overview, in plain language, of the latest research findings and recommendations for best practice.
It is Prosperitas’ hope that this development will also encourage students of all levels to learn about the latest findings in the fields of the Journal, and will also give a boost to tutors to incorporate recent research findings into their classes. Many of our studies are also of use to other stakeholders, such as policymakers, local communities and trade unions.
Our flyer, designed for distribution among authors, includes the most important information and facts about the Journal in a concise format.
